Ever been served a glass of wine by a famous character? What if Patsy Cline from A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline poured you a sensational Shiraz... or Maggie the Cat from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof served you a crisp glass of a fine Chardonnay? And what if you had to figure out who each of the famous characters are and from what play made them famous?
The Great Wine Performances is a wine tasting done Playhouse style... with the intrigue of a contest all wrapped into one. With ten wine stations spread throughout, and famous theatrical characters describing wonderful wines, guests will enjoy a theatrical wine tasting with a chance to test their theatre skills for a slew of wonderful prizes. And do not fear, if your knowledge of theatre is equivalent to a cheap bottle of Merlot, there will be ways to beat the game by buying clues from co-stars who really want the starring role.
